"Simple Ways to Make a Difference in a Dark World (part 05)

 Introduction

When you change, it’s not just you who change – your thinking, your attitude, your situation changes.

There are some changes in life that are not just personal. When you step away from the intoxication of social media and towards a conscious, soulful life, those changes can become a chain reaction. Your peace is not just confined to you – it becomes a voiceless message that reaches the people around you.

Every day when you pick up your phone, when you stop competing with the lives of others and start living your real life, you become such an example which is not in any book, it is just a living light.

People see the shine in your eyes. They feel the truth in your words. They understand the value of your time. And their heart says, “I also want this peace.”

Silent Influence – Your Action, Your Message

It is not necessary that you become a motivational speaker or write blogs about digital fasting. Sometimes your silence, your updates, your way of life becomes the deepest sorrow.

  • When you keep your phone on the table in a gathering of friends and talk with your eyes closed...

  • When you start your day in the morning by opening a book instead of using social media...

  • When you prefer to feel memories instead of selfies...

So you are giving a message without saying anything:
"Life exists beyond the screen. And it is much more real."

This silent influence is the most powerful because it comes from action, not from advice.

Positive Sharing – New Use of Social Media

Often people look for extreme solutions - either a complete boycott of social media or a complete addiction. But the real thing is balance and discipline. If you want, you can make social media a healing and awakening tool.

These are some creative and soulful ways:

  1. Make your journey real – leave filtration. Share your emotions, your relapse, your victory and defeat. The effect of realness is deeper than reals.

  2. Write messages of Digital Mindfulness – quotes, reflections, or short stories that give people a chance to think.

  3. Run mini campaigns – like “Screen-Free Sunday,” or “Digital Sunset Challenge” – where people put down their phones at 9 pm and spend time with their families.

  4. Promote Zikr and peace – write those words that call the heart back to reality. Your every post can become a prayer.

  5. Make short audio notes or videos – where you talk about a specific emotion – like loneliness, FOMO, or dopamine loops. People find themselves in it.

While doing all this, remember:

“You are giving treatment, not imposing medicine.” Your behavior, your intentions, and your gestures should all be like a gentle gesture – something that is felt, understood, and chosen.

Community Building – We don’t have to walk alone, we have to walk together

The journey of digital freedom can be undertaken alone, but if you want, you can turn it into a collective journey. Because fighting alone is difficult, but fighting together becomes a form of worship.

  • Create Safe Digital Spaces – Like a WhatsApp group where a self-awareness prompt comes up daily:
“Today at what moment did your hand go towards the phone and why?”

  • Create Offline Circles – a screen-free tea session every week, where there is only talking, emotions, and real connection.

  • Organize Zoom or Online Meets – where people can share their struggles and victories. Such things give strength to the people.

  • Buddy Systems – Make a detox partner where both can keep track of each other. Whenever you feel weak, he/she will support you. Sometimes he/she will become your helper.

Spaces like these become part of a new spiritual trend over time. You are not just leaving the screen – you are returning to humanity.

Circle of Influence- Every ordinary human being can become an exemplary human being

A hero is not the one who overshadows everyone else – a hero is the one who overcomes himself by fighting with himself. When you face your inner triggers, fears, and illusions, you become a path for someone else.

  • When a mother gives time to her children away from the screen, she is spreading light in the future generations.

  • When a student turns off his phone every night and picks up a book, he is praising his knowledge.

  • When a young person chooses a reflection instead of reels, he is creating an old man within himself.

Such people become an example. Their impact does not go viral – it is vital. Such an example does not fade away with time, it increases.

Next Part (Part 7):

  • We will explore how after digital freedom, creative passions arise in silence and loneliness.

  • How can silence become your teacher?

  • And how does the real “scroll” happen towards the inside – from where the light falls, I don't like it.
